Formation of E.C. : Going back to our beginnings, the E.C. shares its birthday with Pentecost Sunday 1978, which happened to be on 14th May that year, and since then E.C. anniversary is celebrated on Pentecost Sunday.
Original Purpose: To provide a place of worship, pastoral care, spiritual nurture and fellowship to all non-Mizo speaking Christians who wished to worship our Lord Jesus Christ using a common language, namely English.
Composition of members: Is an interesting aspect – a truly diverse and colourful mix, representing various states, nations, denominations, tongues, tribes and cultures, all coming together in a rich and wholesome blend in Christ.
Role of the Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod: The E.C. comes under the Mizoram Presbyterian Church Synod, whose leaders have till date been very supportive and ensured the effective functioning of the E.C. They also faithfully provide us with dedicated Pastors for which we are truly thankful to God and deeply grateful to them.
E.C.Pastor: Rev. Malsawmdawngliana is serving as the current Pastor of E.C. We thank God for his deep commitment and dedicated services among us.
